What do you do?
I am the Public Relations Director for the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center.
What do you love about what you do?
I started my career in the early 2000’s with a variety of clients from book publishing to sports to beauty. Having different clients has prepared me for the role of PR Director at the Four Seasons, where I am responsible for all communications for the hotel, spa, and the four restaurants: Vernick Coffee Bar, Vernick Fish, Jean-Georges Philadelphia and JG SkyHigh. That means working with all of our teams (Chefs and Food & Beverage team, Spa Director, Hotel Manager, rooms division and hotel partners) to tell the best story to local, national, and international press, and through social media. Understanding client needs and changing industries keeps PR/communications an interesting, and ever-changing field.
Where are you from?
I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and grew up in New York City.
Education?
Bachelor Degree in Communication and Media from State University of New York.
Sign?
Virgo!
Favorite AMERICAE items and why?
I love wearing color! The AMERICAE scarf, jewelry, and printed tuxedo are beautiful pieces.
What do you think embodies the AMERICAE woman and why?
The AMERICAE woman is fun, fearless, and driven. I love Tata Harper, the creator of Tata Harper skincare and a fellow Colombian, who created non-toxic skincare that is luxurious and effective.
Describe your style and why is it authentically you?
My style represents me very clearly; colors and prints are staples in my closet.
What drives you?
My family and my faith — knowing that everything I am working towards and achieving are for a greater purpose.
What's on your bookshelf?
I love to read and use a kindle. I binge read Elana Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels. They are four books, originally written in Italian, that tell the story of a lifelong friendship between two women. The writing is so good, and the story is so raw and real. I highly recommend it.
Next or favorite travel destination?
I was in Nevis, West Indies in the spring and enjoyed a very relaxing holiday! Reading the Ferrante books has inspired me to travel to Italy. I’d love to tour the entire country and maybe pick up a little Italian along the way. Ciao Bella!
What's next for you?
I’m looking forward to opening the hotel this summer and welcoming guests to experience all we have to offer. From the delicious restaurants to zen spa treatments, Four Seasons Philadelphia will be unforgettable.
What's your personal motto or what message would you like to share with women?
Be limitless!
