OUR PROCESS
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our emerald craftspeople, goldsmiths, gemologists, leather experts, and pattern-makers are exclusively women-led workshops and husband and wife teams that have learned their trade at luxury houses around the world or have honed techniques passed down from previous generations. We manufacture in the Garment District, Brooklyn, and Colombia.
SOURCING
Stimulating the senses is part of the AMERICAE experience, and the materials we use are where that process begins. We exclusively use emeralds, leathers, soft cottons, and gorgeous wools, sourced from Colombia, Italy, or Japan. Additionally, many of our apparel or handbags take anywhere between 5-7 days to produce and travel between several cities before achieving the final, finished product.
DESIGN
Modern elegance and an unapologetic attitude, that’s what guides us. Vibrant colors, the provenance of languages, travel and history, architecture, the magic of the unexpected, and extraordinary living sings to our souls. After all, AMERICAE is a noun in Latin for both North and South America and it hints to part of our experiential purpose. We design with these inspirations in mind from Philadelphia.
